He was a pupil of the "Ecole Nationale Supérieure" of
Decorative Art in the studio of Marcel Gromaire, then at the "Ecole Nationale"
of "Beaux-Arts" at Paris, in Brianchon's studio.
Pierre Jutand's art is uniquely his own-incomparable style. It cannot be classified under
any school and follows its own laws. The shining source makes his objects gleam from
within : a woman's flesh, fruit, flowers all have a transparent quality. He revels in
themes which vary from a "rose tyrien to the depths of ultra-marine.
The colours sing freely in gentle verse and filled with pure joy.
Whatever the subject treated in great abundance, still life, nudes, landscapes, flowers,
he is at home,
everything seems easy to him, what talent!
His canvasses are found in the greatest world collections.
