He studied painting and drawing in the studios of Yves Brayer at
the "Grande Chaumière" and of Georges Cheyssial at the "Ecole Nationale
des Beaux-Arts" in Paris.
He very quickly became known in the "Grands Salons", acquiring, among others The
Gold Medal of French Artists in 1979.
A painter of poetic reality, his principal interest is in light which is the main feature
of a painting.
He paints, in an easy manner, details of family life, landscapes which are not slavish
copies of nature,
but which he recreates, giving each one its autonomy.
Hervé Le Bourdelles's palette is adapted to the subject, in harmony, without excess,
discreet, witness to an atmosphere, revealing a season, transmitting feeling.
