Denise TRAVERS-POULAIN
(born in 1926)

From 19 years of age, she has exhibited in the "Salon des Indépendants". A pupil of the "Beaux-Arts", she progressed rapidly and became a teacher of Graphic Arts, drawing and painting for Paris.
She carried off several Gold Medals, one of which was from the Salon of French artists in 1988.
She paints with equal aplomb large work-places of construction : The Pyramid of the Louvre, the market harbours, rivers and their traffic, ports, fishing-boats returning to harbour, animals, family groups, snow scenes,
desert scenes, the woodlands of her Berry chilhood.
She is one of the greatest post-impressionists of the end of the century and her works are frequently on exhibition in most well-known Galleries of France and Europe.
