Undulating landscapes, presented by superimposing, open spaces coloured in seasonal tones. The dazzling play of light accentuates the pleasing effect,
underlining man and nature in a perfect harmony,
held in the ephemeral beauty of a fleeting moment.
Cubist form? Impressionist lighting? Expressionist brushwork?
Jean Abadie cannot be categorised in that way. His work is a subtle balance between his personal style and others more familiar to us.
We are left to be seduced and reflect on his paintings.
